sizing puzzle

i noticed that the sizes on bb's clothes arent exactly very accurate. how can my boy be wearing rompers meant for 12 mth old babies, and some of the tops indicate its for 18 mths n ethan can wear them too! i mean, i know he's on the chubby side, but still?!?

case in point: the romper ethan's got on in this photo is for 12 mth old bb. doesnt seem so rite?

sneak preview

i just couldnt wait to get the new hat onto ethan so today i took it out from the drawer, plopped it onto his (balding) head n snapped away with our new pentax K10D DSLR. not too bad huh - and he seems rather happy with the new cam too! ;D

anyway we also found out that the romper he has on in this photo is too small for him cos we cant do up the buttons at the bottom of the romper! its just so amazing how quickly babies grow. i wonder what his 'statistics' will be like at the next visit to the PD...

i've done it again!

uh oh... i went crazy during lunch n bought new stuff for ethan again! at this rate i'm going, i think he'll have enough new clothes to last him till christmas hee hee. let's see... i got him a t-shirt, a collared top, a romper and 2 pairs of socks :D now the only missing thing in the photo is ethan! haha

anyway i didnt realise what a shopping haven raffles place is for working moms with kids. there are so many little shops and booths selling kids' clothings - so many things to see n buy but so little time! aargh! and just in case you were wondering, i was there today cos i'd arranged to meet an ex-colleague for lunch. after that she brought me to these really cool places with great value-for-money kids' stuff.

all i can say is... "I'LL BE BACK!!!"

a cure for all

was running a slight temperature last nite so didnt manage to make it to the office today. ethan was all smiles in the morning as usual :) n i suddenly felt all better!

we're trying out new L size teats on him starting tomorrow. cos we realised he takes forever to finish his milk now (and it's only 170ml). let's hope it makes a diff!

retail therapy

been feeling a little down lately so wat did i do? shop! except this time i shop online n i shop for ethan :) been buying loads of stuff for him, fr sleepsuits to sweaters to hats and socks (those in the photo are the tippy toes i got him)! some are pretty decently priced while others are a little bit more 'luxurious' but as i cdnt take my eyes of them, into the shopping cart they went! hee hee. anyway its rather exciting cos i come home at the end of the day n will be checking my mailbox eagerly. at least there's smthg to look fwd to at the end of a loooong lousy day at work :P

anyway stay tuned over the next few wks for photos of ethan decked out in all his new apparel. why yes... the lunar new year is just around the corner so my fat little boy will be making his debut this yr and helping us recover some of those ang pao $$! let's see... shd we visit our relatives in malaysia too? hmmm.... ;D

early in the morning

here we are at 7.45am in the morning... and i've been up over an hr ago! cos ethan woke up round about 6.15am so i nursed him like i usually do every morning. he normally falls right back to sleep after that so i can get myself ready for work. but today, he somehow seems to know it's the wkend and he's refusing to go back to sleep!! aarrrghhh! only 2 days in a wk that i can get to wake up late n here he is all bright-eyed in his PJs! (and me in mine too - gee they actually look matching dont they)

ethan, either u know its the wkend n mommy's home all day so you're really excited to play with me, hence refusing to sleep. or you are just PLAYING ME cos u know how much i long to crawl back under the covers to zzzzzz. either way, i still love you cos you are such a sweetie even tho i am starting to look like a panda! cant resist your toothless grin :)

finally managed to video ethan's flipping in progress. well it's not exactly the best demo (he only managed to do it on his 3rd attempt) but the point is.. he made it! you'll also notice that after he flipped he wasn't entirely interested in lifting his head off the bed n kept burying his face in our sheets instead. u see... it was taken at 10pm at nite n the little one was tired! ;)

who turned out the lights?!?

something really silly happened in my office yesterday. there i was sitting happily on the toilet bowl (lid closed of course!) having my 6pm pump session listening to music fr my mobile phone when sudenly the lights went out! apparently some moron tot there was no one in the loo n wanted to save some $$ for the company n so turned off the lights! i was shocked n sat there in the darkness for a few secs b4 calling out "excuse me? EXCUSE ME? EXXXXXCUUUUUUUSSE MEEEEEE?!?" of course, that moron did not come back. so there i sat in the dark contemplating wat to do. it was pitch black mind u! then i remembered my mobile phone! thk god for tat! i managed to locate it in the dark n switched on the light mode meant for the camera. and then there was light! so i stopped pumping, put on my top n went out to switch the lights back on then resumed the session. gee. i hope that smart aleck doesnt pull such a stunt again - at least check 1st to see if there's anyone in the loo right?!
