driving me crazy

the last few nites have just been crazy.. ethan would wake every few hrs and cry really loudly till i go into the room to comfort him. sometimes all he wants is a pat, but at other times he'll only be pacified after we give him the bottle. i cant help wondering if this is the 'side effect '' of a new routine we're trying with him - to get him to sleep on his own at 8.30pm every nite, after having his bottle of milk somewhere other than in his bed. he's been too reliant on the bottle, or even us rocking/cuddling him to sleep. i just hope this waking-up-several-times-a -nite episode will blow over soon.. u cant imagine how tiring it is!

anyway on a separate note, we went for a picnic yesterday at port arlington. lovely place, lovely weather, cheap fresh mussels (of which ethan did not have any!). he enjoyed the fresh air tho :)

sunny days are here

as the weather's getting warmer and the days sunnier, we invested in another hat for ethan as i realised the old ones i bought for him wouldn't fit anymore! wanted to get a pair of shades for him too, but i have no idea about the quality of lenses they use for kid's sunglasses, so i decided to skip them... when he's older i'll think about it again :)

buff and buffed

here's ethan in the buff (with strategically placed accessories!) and already 'buffed' with his moisturiser (yeah... that white stuff u see on his neck aint powder which is too drying for his sensitive skin)

it's getting more n more difficult to dress this little guy up. he wriggles all over the place and refuses to stay still for us to clothe him! so sometimes we have a half-naked baby running into the living room..oh well.... just another usual day for the rest of us :|

Melbourne Cup Shoes

So how did we spend the Melbourne Cup holiday today? we went to Chadstone shopping centre and got ethan a new pair of Clarks shoes cos he was fast outgrowing his old ones!

I love the colour of this pair of shoes (brown/beige) plus it's much softer than the pair he's wearing right now, so I think he should be more comfy trotting around in them.

He's walking really steadily now, and it's like a whole new experience when we go out with him cos it's strange seeing this little boy start walking on his own, when for the last 13 mths, he either had to be carried or placed in his stroller :) it's a new (exciting) phase!
