concentration...

this little boy can be really focused when he wants to... sometimes when he's playing with his blocks (or watching his baby einstein dvd on tv), he'll be oblivious to everything else around him.

wonder why he cant focus on finishing his food during mealtimes though...

like magic...

ethan is finally sleeping thro the nite!

it happened about 3 wks back. i guess something really just 'clicked' n he just stopped waking up at 3 or 4am in the morning :)

now he usually goes to bed around 8-9pm and zzzzz's till the next morning around 7 or 8am.

so now that he's finally sleeping thro, what about me? no such luck! I still have to wake up cos emma needs to be fed. that's just my life huh. sigh....

PS: yeah i know his fringe is too short. i promise this will be the 1st and last time! :P

those of u who remember ethan had a small red spot on his head when he was born would be happy to know that he's been given the all clear when we brought him to the PD and had xrays done a couple of wks back :)

the results show that everything's perfect and that we have absolutely nothing to worry about!

i'm just so relieved and thankful that he's ok - that's what's most impt to me. good health :)

that's how long before ethan will get to see his "er2shu1" and "san1shu1" again as we sent them off at the airport last sat (they'd been here on a 2-wk vacation).

the little guy wasnt feeling weepy or anything tho - he was actually rather happy cos there were all these kiddy rides available at the melbourne airport. he kept whining to sit in them each time we came across one. now what kind of parents would we be if we denied him this little bit of childhood pleasure rite? so of course we let him ride in them - but without putting any $$ in the machine lah! he was happy enough even then, but i'm sure given some time, things are gonna change :P better start saving those gold coins!

as u can imagine, we're constantly shouting "NO!" but there's only so much we can monitor him on rite? i just hope he gets over this climbing phase soon...

it's a pity ethan cant be back in spore to celebrate the lunar new year, cos i can just imagine all the fun that he'd be having with his cousins, the angpaos, pineapple tarts, candy, etc...

i do hope that we can spend the next CNY back there so that he has a taste of what it's really like :) all he had this year is this new shirt. better than nothing lah...

we went back to the steakhouse on tue cos the food was really gd the last time we were there. glad to say they did not disappoint the 2nd time around :)

at the playground...

so after 10 mths of being in melbourne (yeah time flies huh!), ethan had his 1st exhilarating experience at a real playground (other than our typhoon-hit living room) hee hee. i know i know... we're horribly lazy parents and we shd hv brought him to the playground much earlier than this, what with australia being a great outdoor place n everything :P we'll definitely try to bring him more often after this, i promise :)

anyway the weather was great that day - cloudy with a cool breeze. that was when we LEFT the house. cos 10 min later when we reached our destination, the sun came back with a vengeance! sigh.. that's just our lousy luck (hope the new rat year brings us a better one :P). so ethan's expedition was cut short and we left like 20 min later cos the heat was just piercing n unbearable. nonetheless, ethan had a great 20 min playing :) hope the weather will be kinder the next time we bring him there...
