well now that we have the playpen, it seems ethan wont sit and play in it by himself unless we sit NEXT to the playpen WITH him. hmm... that defeats the purpose of the playpen doesnt it? cos all along i thought it'd give us some free time to do our own stuff as he'd be sitting in it playing by himself.

not 'who's there?' but 'where?" is more the question! see that little red mark just above his left eyebrow? the clumsy boy was going for the remote control but promptly lost his balance and landed his face right smack into the remote control!

guess this is just the 1st of many more bumps to come (he hasn't even started walking, remember?!?)

pho bo craze

lately we've been frequenting this vietnamese outlet in footscray for its pho bo... i just cant help myself. the soup is so damn delicious and i crave for it everyday!

but finally today, after the countless times we've been there, ethan is able to sit in their baby chair. it's not really a high chair - more like a booster seat. he keeps slipping down in it tho, but it beats putting him in the stroller (takes up too much space in that very crowded eating place) or trying to juggle him with 1 hand and eating noodle soup with the other :P

crawler

finally, there's some resemblance to real crawling!

nine months

at 9 months old, ethan:

1. can crawl rather quickly
2. has 2 teeth on his lower gums
3. has mastered the skill of screaming very loudly to get his way ALL THE TIME
4. never ceases to whine cos he wants to be carried/entertained ALL THE TIME
5. cannot play by himself for more than 5 min
6. is still not sleeping thro the nite (help me!!!!)
7. loves to fidget with the latest gadgets, eg: daddy's iPod, remote controls, speakers, macbook...
8. adores the 'paparazzi' (ie daddy and mommy)
9. has learned how to poo poo on the potty (and it smells REAL BAD!! ack!)

what a feat for a mere 9 mth old huh :)

mommy has been making me sit through the nightly "sermons" reading strange scriptures before i get my fix of milk at bedtime. as you can obviously see, i'm not in the least bit thrilled at having my pre-bedtime whining slots taken over by regular, sensible baby activities. check out my oscar-winning performance as i pretend to give mommy my unbridled attention...
